Ally Law – Chorus Director
Ally has been hooked on 4-part,
close harmony, un-accompanied singing for 27 years.
It all started when her Mum took her to join a
local barbershop Chorus in Derby when she was 11.
At the moment she also performs with and choreographs
a champion Chorus based in Bedfordshire, PHOENIX,
A-cappella Showcase Chorus who will be competing
in Hawaii November 2008 (www.phoenixladies.org)
She has been a performance judge and has coached
numerous choruses and quartets including the current
Sweet Adeline’s regional Champion quartet
FLAUNT! (www.flauntquartet.co.uk).
Ally has been a member of 3 quartets and sang bass
in the 2004 Ladies Association of Barbershop singers
champion quartet CABOODLE. More recently, she appeared
as the Lion from the Wizard of Oz in a great fun
quartet called RICOCHET. She has a wonderful, supportive
husband, Simon and a two year old daughter, Grace,
who already enjoys the sound of barbershop much
to the disappointment of Simon! She has met some
terrific people and has made lifelong friends through
this wonderful hobby. Over the years Ally has received
some excellent coaching and looks forward to sharing
that knowledge with DaleDiva.
Harriet
Adamson – Assistant
Chorus Director
Playing music and singing have always been an integral
part of Harriet’s life. Encouraged by her father,
she started piano lessons at 8 and clarinet when 10, Harriet
has also played flute and bassoon. Playing in the school
orchestra and Norwich Symphonic Wind Orchestra, she always
envied the singers (she had to play the music for them!).
Moving to Australia in 1988 Harriet finally managed to
take time for singing lessons, and develop this side of
her musical repertoire. After moving back to the UK in
2006, it was Harriet’s husband who first saw the
advert for DaleDiva and, knowing the importance of music
in Harriet’s life, encouraged her to go along. Since
joining the chorus Harriet is delighted to have met such
a fantastic and enthusiastic group of women who are all
so committed to helping Ally achieve her goal of developing
the DaleDiva sound. Harriet is thrilled to be Ally’s
assistant director, and knows this will be a challenging
but extremely rewarding position.

Lead by Jane Bell, Chorus President,
these ladies have the enthusiasm and commitment to achieve
DaleDiva’s vision. The Chorus thank them for doing
a sterling job.
